Pam Allen
Pam Allen has been designing jewellery for 21 years. Although having had no formal art training, Pam’s love of all things, old, odd and unusual, has led her down a creative path and she now designs and makes collage-style brooches. Necklaces of semi-precious stones and other natural materials are another aspect of the work that Pam designs. Three years ago, inspired by her natural surroundings, Pam began to design and build driftwood lamps as well as Birch twig lamps which she supplies to design shops in cottage country. She is quick to add that these lamps work equally well in city homes with modern furnishings as they do in rustic cottage settings. Pam shows her work at the Muskoka Arts Show in Bracebridge each July and has been a Studio Stop on the Thanksgiving Images Studio Tour for 20 years now. Pam lives with her husband, Paul, who also designs and builds custom furniture and accessories, in their Studio/Home in Marchmont, Ontario, just West of Orillia. Her Studio is open year round, by appointment.
